This will be out last morning in sight of the rock of Gibraltar, and what a beautiful final sunrise.
It’s been a nice week or so, but we did get a little caught out by winds and tides, spending more time here than originally planned
Made use of 3 different anchorages and 1 marina, getting lots of boat jobs done, walked up the rock (pictures to follow), did some snorkelling, but still no fish yet.
Next stop Morocco

We did end up getting stuck in Gibraltar / the med for more time than we planned, but that did end up leaving us with lots of time to take pictures of monkeys.

We spent 2 days tacking into the med, and by time we wanted to leave the wind had switched and we spent multiple days in short hops a with some multi-day stops to get back out again.

10/10 though, Gibraltar is lovely.

Tourist day! Anchored in Cascais and got a taxi over to Sintra to see Quinta de Regaleira.

Lovely gardens, grottos, labyrinths and historic buildings, but also the most tourists we have seen in the last 2 months.

Sailing to Lisbon tomorrow, not for to go before some more touristy looking around.

Lots of time to explore Porto while hiding out from larger NW swell and wind that is coming through.

We said goodbye to @daisyydunn on our first day here but had plenty of time to wander around the city to take in the sights as well as eat some great food before she left.

We made the most of the free port tasting included in our marina stay, opting to try 9 in total!

Tonight we leave the marina before anchoring in the river for some hours to wait for the evening.

We are looking at a weather window from midnight tonight to make our way down to Figueira da Foz for tomorrow afternoon.

Gull-winged down the Spanish coast all the way into Portugal yesterday, finally getting the Ghoster up (another head sail, left in the picture). We switched the courtesy flag just before dropping the Ghoster and turning up into quite a shallow river to drop anchor. We arrived a bit late so we ended up motoring in against 4-5 knts of tide / river flowing out in places, and at times only 1.5 metres beneath the keel.
